Naturalization requires passing exams on knowledge of the national language and basic history/culture, as well as demonstrating law-abidingness and financial security.
Persons with Latvian roots
The repatriation program is open to those who can document their belonging to the state nation - Latvians or Livs, as well as descendants of forcibly deported citizens of the country.
Children of state citizens (at least one of them)
Citizenship in Latvia is automatically granted by “blood right”, i.e., to a child (regardless of the country of birth), whose at least one parent has a passport of the Republic.

Availability of supporting documents
To apply for Latvian citizenship, you need to have the following documents:

- unified application form;
- a photograph of 30 x 40 millimeters;
- state duty payment receipt;
- certificate of absence of criminal record in the home country;

Testimonials from clients who have obtained Latvian citizenship
View allWe decided to immigrate as a family, so we were looking for a new country to live in - inexpensive, necessarily in the EU and with at least some Russian-speaking population. The choice fell on Latvia, but none of the residence permit programs seemed promising to us. We signed up in Mycitizenagency for a free consultation and it turned out that my husband can immediately become a citizen of the European Union, without long naturalization and other difficulties. To be honest, we didn't really go into the nuances: the lawyers did everything for us, and not only my husband, but also our children received a passport. As a result, we easily moved to Latvia and I obtained a local residence permit for family reunification. I have only positive impressions from cooperation with Mycitizenagency
My work requires regular visits to the Baltic States, but the constant visa application was very tiresome. In search of alternative solutions, I turned to Mycitizenagency. Unexpectedly, I found out that I could get an EU passport and with it fly visa-free almost all over the world, including absolutely all of Europe. I liked the fact that I could entrust all the tasks of the procedure to the lawyers and just follow their instructions.
My sincere thanks to Mycitizenagency and especially to lawyer Elena for her help with moving to Latvia. I have long wanted to move closer to my grandchildren, but I could not get the paperwork done. Mycitizenagency found me a good way to get another citizenship - I didn't need to learn a foreign language, pass an exam on culture and history and all that. I thought immigration would be much more expensive, but in fact the cost of services is quite fair, especially considering that the lawyers consult almost 24/7. I wish all the best and prosperity to such a wonderful company!
